ABSTRACT

Currently, all medical advertisements in periodicals, leaflets, posters, street banners and online newspapers are subjected to prior review to verify whether they comply with relevant standards. Ironically, medical advertising on public transportation, on the Internet or on broadcast is not subjected to prior review even though such media are far more influential to medical consumers. With these facts in mind, Korean government needs to widen the scope of prior review for medical advertisements on the media. The expansion of the regulation should not be considered as an increased governmental interference with commercial activities. Appropriate advertisement standards are necessary to prevent excessive competition, and also to protect interests of the medical service providers, who themselves could become the victims of false and exaggerated advertisement. Since it is likely that the medical advertisement on broadcast to be allowed from the year 2010, relevant laws and regulations need to be revised in due time to enable proper review. Claims made on Internet websites by medical service providers should also be reviewed. In addition, approvals for medical advertisements should have a temporal regulation so that certificates of approval are only valid during a given period of time.

ABSTRACT

Kinetics of municipal sewage degradation in Expanded Granular Sludge Bed (EGSB) and Up-flow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactors at 10℃ were investigated via continuous experimental equipments. The results indicated that the whole reaction process can be simulated by the first-order dynamic equation model. Dynamic parameters such as k, Vmax and Ks of UASB in hydrolysis acidification stage were 1.08 d-1, 2.8 d-1 and 372 mg/L comparing to those of 1.18 d-1, 3.5 d-1 and 112 mg/L in the methanogenesis stage respectively. The EGSB's k, Vmax and Ks were 2.91 d-1, 14.3 d-1 and 470 mg/L in the hydrolysis acidification stage comparing to those of 1.68 d-1, 6.6 d-1 and 103 mg/L in the methanogenesis stage respectively. Comparison of k values of the two stages in UASB and EGSB indicates that hydrolysis acidification stage is the controlling step for the whole reaction process of UASB, while methanogenesis stage is the controlling step in EGSB. Compared with UASB, municipal sewage treatment by EGSB at 10 ℃ can reach the same effluent requirement with lower retention time due to its effluent recirculation.

Objective To know the status of Immunization program in Zhejiang Province.Methods The investigation on immunization program in zhejiang province was conducted,and the SWOT analysis was corducted to make a comprehensive evaluation.Results 11 citys,22 counties and 44 towns were investigated in this study,and the current immunization program in Zhejiang province were explored by SWOT analysis.Conclusion The SWOT Matrix,includes SO(strength-opportunity),ST(strength-threat),WO(weakness-opportunity)and WT(weakness-threat)can apply to make optimal strategy for the development of expanded program on immunization.

ABSTRACT

[Objective]To evaluate and compare the effects of fibial-tibial fracture(FTF) treated by interlocking intramedullary nail (I I N group A) and intramedullary expand expanded self-lock nail (IESN group B).[Method]From June 2000 to September 2003,one hundred sixteen cases of FTF were treated by I I N(N=60)or IESN (N=56) and followed-up for 12~24 months (average 17.9 months).Results were compared between group A and group B.[Result]In group A,the satisfactory rate,union rate,close reduction rate,medullary expanding rate,complication rate and antirotation ability were 89.5%, 96.7%, 71.6%, 51.6%,21.6% and +++ respectively.In group B,that were correspondently 91.0%,98.5%,89.3%,5.3%,3% and +.[Conclusion]Adopting the biological osteosynthesis either the I I N or IESN for treatment of FTF could get a result of more satisfactory rate and higer union rate.Applying a stable fixation,the IESN is more suitable for instable FTF.Such as multisegmental or comminuted targe oblique FTF,while of fering a flexible fixation,IESN is preferable for transverse fractures of middle and lower third tibia and fibula.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the changes and clinical significance of prothrombin time(PT),activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT),thrombin time(TT),fibrinogen time(FGB)and platelet(PLT)on Kawasaki disease(KD)in children with acute and convalescent 10 d,which aimed at early diagnosis,prediction and prognosis of coronary artery lesions.Methods Thirty-eight cases who were diagnosed KD were selected as KD group,30 cases age-matched acute respiratory infections in children with fever as fever group,moreover,30 cases of a class of elective surgery preoperative children admitted to surgical departments were put as control group.The plasma PT,APTT,TT,FGB,PLT of all cases and plasma APTT,FGB,PLT in recovery 10 d in children with KD disease were detected,and then the results were compared between the 3 groups;and the results of APTT,FGB,PLT in KD children with acute and convalescent 10 d to coronary artery dilatation groups or not were compared.Results 1.APTT prolonged and FGB,PLT increased in KD children with acute stage,which had a significant difference compared with other groups(Pa0.05).2.When comparing the results of APTT,FGB,PLT in KD children with acute and convalescent 10 d,the difference was significant(Pa
